About Jim

Jim has more than three decades of his career invested in the accounting arena – with 20+ years spent serving as a director at Barnes Dennig. His work outside the firm includes industry experience with a local company and four years with a major international accounting firm. This blend of private industry and public accounting experience has given Jim a solid appreciation of what it takes to build a profitable company.
Jim has served as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and is a current member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA) and the Advisory Board of the University of Cincinnati College of Applied Science, Construction Science Department.
As an active member of Allinial Global, Jim attends their Annual Summit and has served on Allinial’s Construction and Consulting Committees. In addition to his work with Allinial, Jim also served on various trade group board of directors including the Allied Construction Industries (ACI) and the local chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA). Jim currently leads the firm’s distribution, logistics, and supply chain practice.
Jim is past president of the Cincinnati Athletic Club and has served on Archbishop Moeller High School’s Education Commission and their Athletic Advisory Board. He was also past president of their Alumni Association. Jim serves on the boards of Kenzie’s Closet and the American Classical Music Hall of Fame and has also served on the board of ReSource and the Advisory board of the University of Cincinnati.
A graduate of Wittenberg University, Jim earned an MBA in finance from Xavier University.
When he’s not driving great results for his clients, Jim enjoys spending time with his very large and very delightful family, attending the sporting events of grandkids, nieces (ask him about his famous niece!), nephews, and of course Barnes Dennig sports teams, and squeezing in the occasional round of golf. His secret talent: he’s the much-loved voice of the Moeller Crusaders and the Mt. Notre Dame Cougars. He is most proud of the 9 state titles captured by his Moeller Crusaders and Mount Notre Dame Cougars during his tenure. And you wondered why those teams’ games are always so fun.
